Mary Sue Clendenon, 79, a McMinnville resident and Van Buren County native, died Oct. 16 in NHC McMinnville following an extended illness. She was a retired employee with McMinnville Garment Company, member of the St. Mary’s Church of Christ, and daughter of the late George Franklin McBride and Illa Elizabeth Hillis McBride. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Lofton “Dib” Clendenon; sister Dorothy Bishop and brothers, Willard and Louis McBride.Ms. Clendenon is survived by son, Kent Clendenon of McMinnville; daughter and son-in-law, Frankie and Chris Kelly of Lebanon; three grandchildren and spouses, Nick and Lacey Kelly of Lebanon, Ben and Lindsey Kelly of McMinnville and Macaulli Clendenon of Chattanooga; five great-grandchildren, Mason Lofton Kelly, Noah Kelly, Annabelle Kelly, Shelby Kelly and Micah Kelly; and special friend, Noel Green of McMinnville.
