Mary Rebecca “Becky” Pedigo, 84, of McMinnville passed from this life on Sunday, Jan. 9, at her home.
Becky was born Thursday, June 17, 1937 in McMinnville, the daughter of the late Otis Rogers and the late Rose Hines Rogers. She was a member of Smartt Station Church of Christ.
Becky is survived by her daughter Reta Carter and husband Col. (Ret.) Frederick, two grandsons, Raymond Carter and wife Kathryn, Benjamin Carter and wife Sara, four great-grandchildren Kellen Carter, Zoe Carter, Ryden Carter, and Gabriel Carter, two sisters-in-law Nancy Rogers and Inez Pedigo, and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
In addition to her parents, Becky was preceded in death by her husband Thomas “Tommy” Walker Pedigo and brother Calvin Edward Rogers.
Becky and Tommy spent many enjoyable years dedicated to performing country western and rockabilly music. Special thanks to Tina Walker with Avalon Hospice, Dr. Evans and medical staff at Saint Thomas River Park Hospital, and caregivers Olivia and Tony Myers.
Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Gardens of Memory Funeral Home with Tim Long officiating. Interment will follow at Gardens of Memory Cemetery in Smartt. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 14, and again Saturday from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Gardens of Memory Funeral Home.
