Mary Jo Keener Austin, 85, of McMinnville died Saturday, Feb. 6 at her residence. She was born May 16, 1930, in McMinnville and was a homemaker, and a member of North Hills Church of God of Prophecy.Mrs. Austin was preceded in death by mother Mattie Ruth (John) Ferguson, father James Cantrell Mills, first husband William Monroe Keener, sons Mike Keener and Steve Keener, and brother Harold Mills.Survivors include her husband, Rillie Austin; daughter-in-law, Lisa Keener; grandchildren, William (Rose) Keener, Katie (Ben) Herron, Paul (Jamie) Keener, and Niki Keener; great-grandchildren, Matthew Keener, Bently and Steven Herron, Brittany and Peyton Cooper, Bailee Keener, and Japheth Keener; sister, Hilda (Earl) Conway; brother, Bill (Rose) Mills; stepchildren, Leah (Randy) Seals, Mark (Karen) Austin, Michael (Barbara) Austin, Thomas (Michelle) Austin, and Jimmy (Annette) Austin, and uncle, George Mills. Several nieces, nephews, family members also survive.Funeral service was held Tuesday in the McMinnville Funeral Home Chapel.
