Mary Jane Prater, 98, a McMinnville resident and Warren County native, was born Sept. 25, 1918 and died May 19 in Woodbury Health and Rehab following an extended illness.She was a retired employee of Levi Strauss Company, a member of Bethel Hill Baptist Church, and daughter of the late Adam and Delia Crook Ferrell. Mrs. Prater was married to James Clarence Prater, who preceded her in death on March 8, 1985. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by daughters, Ruth Blair and Pauline Neal.Survivors include daughter Wilma Ware of Rock Island; son and daughter-in-law James Melvin and June Prater of McMinnville; seven grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and one great-great-great-granddaughter.Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, May 21, at High’s Chapel with Tommy Lusk to officiate.
