Morrison resident and Coffee County native Mary Elizabeth Martin Meeks, 80, was born Aug. 2, 1934 and died Nov. 19 at St. Thomas Rutherford Hospital in Murfreesboro following a brief illness. A retired employee of Carrier Corporation and a faithful member of Morrison Church of Christ, she was the daughter of the late Burr Hoover and Leola Mae Prater Martin. She is survived by daughter and son-in-law, Angie and Steve Caldwell of McMinnville; three grandchildren, Trista Gibson and husband Kenny of Murfreesboro, and Cristy and Leslie Caldwell, both of McMinnville; six great-grandchildren; brother, Joe B. Martin of McMinnville; sister, Evelyn Richardson of Murfreesboro; and several nieces and nephews also survive.
