Margaret Louise Hampton, 88, died Tuesday, Jan. 10. She was a member of Airview Baptist Church and was born in Alabama on Oct. 9, 1923 to Lester and Martha Logan Campbell, who preceded her in death along with her daughters, Christine Northcutt and Ilene Campbell; sons, David, Charles and William Hoyt Hampton; sisters, Irene Cotham and Melba Barber; brothers, Thomas “Bud” and Hoyt Campbell; and grandsons, Christopher Hampton and Phillip Campbell. She is survived by her daughter, Sharon (Lonnie “Bud”) Whitman; grandchildren, Darron and Dawn Whitman, Steve (Tammy), Mark (Teresa) and Arlissa Campbell, Jeff, Todd (Melanie) and Brad Hampton; a host of great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
