McMinnville resident and Blytheville, Ark., native Margaret Golden, 78, was born July 29, 1934 and died Aug. 14 at River Park Hospital following a sudden illness.
A homemaker, she was the daughter of the late Horace and Gladys Pritchard Floyd. She was married Jan. 19, 1952 to Billy Eugene Golden, who preceded her in death July 27, 2006. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by one son, Lee Golden; granddaughter, Angela Golden, and two sisters, Betty Jones and Dorothy Steele.
She is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Billy and Donna Golden of Morrison; daughter and son-in-law, Suzanne and Charles Hunter of McMinnville; four grandchildren, Melanie Dillon of Lebanon, Christopher Golden of Smyrna, Kyle Summers of Columbus, Ga., and Chance Hunter of McMinnville; four step-grandchildren; three great-grandchildren, Bella, John and Marci, and four step-great-grandchildren.
Funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at High’s Chapel with David Gann officiating. Burial will follow at Smyrna Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday, and 8 a.m. until time of service Saturday at High’s.
