Marcus Edward King, 59, a resident of Delano, TN, departed this life on Feb. 19. He passed peacefully at the University of Tennessee Medical Center following a sudden illness, while surrounded by family.

He was born Oct. 18, 1962 in Warren County to Cecil Edward and Evelyn Pearl King. He was preceded in death by his daughter Lucinda Pearl King and niece Hannah Barnes.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by spouse, Tammy Smith King, son Kenneth Edward King (Mea McBride), daughters Tabitha (Daniel) Buckner and Lyndsey (James) Buck, sister Cindy Barnes, brother Tim King, grandchildren Jaxon King, Eli Beaty, Kenya Buckner, Kaylee and Nevaeh Buck, Dyson McBride and Colten Link and several nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of other family and friends.

Marcus was an environmental, health and safety manager at Polartec, LLC in Cleveland and a longtime member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. He was known as an extremely loving and caring person and father and he enjoyed being a Papa.

Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, Feb. 25, at High’s Chapel. Burial will follow at Mt. View Cemetery in McMinnville. Visitation will be Thursday from 4 to 8 p.m., and Friday from 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at High’s. Online condolences may be made at www.highfuneralhome.com.
