Marcus Doyle Rogers, 80, of McMinnville, died Monday, Dec. 18, at Saint Thomas West Hospital in Nashville. He was born Feb. 15, 1937, in McMinnville, was a retired machinist with AVCO Corporation, and a member of Shellsford Baptist Church where he previously served as a deacon. Mr. Rogers was preceded in death by parents Jim and Lila Belle Cunningham Rogers, sisters, Betty Rigsby, Francis McKnight, Mary Rigsby, and Linda Watts, and brothers, M.T. Rogers and James Farrell Rogers Jr. Survivors include his wife of 61 years Ruth Rogers, sons James Rogers, Randy Rogers, and Marty Rogers, grandchildren Tim Rogers, Kristen (Dustin) Amos, Brandi (Scottie) Garing, Jason (Mianna) Rogers, and Colby (Mindy) Rogers, great-grandchildren Mia Rogers, Thea Rogers, Olivia Hogan, Caleb Amos, Cydnie West, Dylan West, Gracelyn Garing, Aiden Rogers, Alyssa Rogers, Aubrey Rogers, and Madison King, and a sister Bernida (Bud) Barnes.
