Major Dillard Holt, 81, of McMinnville died Sunday, July 9, at Signature Health Care in Monteagle. He was born May 10, 1936, in Morrison, and was preceded in death by his parents Walter and Mary Belle Gann Holt, daughter Deloris Betteley, son Steve Holt, and 14 siblings.Survivors include his wife, Willie Holt, his children, Linda Hanzel, and Tim Holt, stepdaughter, Denice McCormick, stepson, Raymond Lawson, grandchildren, Rhiannon Betteley, Patrick Betteley, Robbie Hanzel, and Jessica Glaser, Dana West, and Ryan Adcock, great-grandchildren, Sadie West, Shelby West, and Chloe Adcock, sisters, Rosie (J.C.) Bouldin and Earlene Vickers, brother, Rayburn (Martha) Holt, and daughters-in-law, Ronnie Holt and Joyce Lawson.Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, July 12, at McMinnville Funeral Home Chapel. Jason Nunley will officiate.
