Madeline Marie Hutchins, 92

Madeline Marie Hutchins, 92, a Rock Island resident and Arcadia Township, Mich., native was born April 15, 1925 and died May 31 in Cookeville Regional Medical Center.
She was a homemaker, member of Smyrna Church of Christ and daughter of the late John and Bertha Fisher Schwerin. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by four brothers, Melvin, Walter, Clarence and Ralph Schwerin; and three sisters, Annabell Conors, Lillian Fenslow and Helen Hagemaster. Mrs. Hutchins enjoyed bowling, playing cards and baking. She retired from Suncrest Nursing Home in Lapeer, Mich., where she worked in housekeeping.
Mrs. Hutchins was married Sept. 12, 1980 to James Hutchins, who survives. In addition to her husband, she is survived by son and daughter-in-law, Gerald and Linda Mack of Lapeer; daughter and son-in-law, Joann and Joe Vanderlip of Lapeer; two grandchildren, Kimberly Mack and Gerald Mack; two great-granddaughters, Amber Mack and Chelsee Mack; great-great-grandson, Zachery Mack; sister Marion Mack of North Branch, Mich.; brother Johnny Schwerin of Dryden, Mich.; several nieces and nephews; two stepsons, David Hutchins and Steve Hutchins, both of Clarkston, Mich.; and stepdaughter, Martha Ann Ley of Waterford, Mich.
Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, June 3 at High’s Chapel with Bill Walkup to officiate. Interment will follow at Mt. Pisgah Cemetery. Visitation will be 5 to 8 p.m. Friday, and 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday. Online condolences may be made to
