Loy Ledford “Pap” Smith, 95, died Thursday, June 6, at Woodbury Health Care. A Warren County native, he is survived by two daughters, Mary (Wayne) Brown and Betty Faye Johnson, both of McMinnville; brother, James and Olivene Smith of Woodbury; sister-in-law, Francis Smith of Hermitage; five grandchildren Sheila (Brian) Kelly, Timmy (Betty) Muncy, Angela Wiggins, Lisa (Jim) Weismore, and David (Lori) Brown.Mr. Smith was preceded in death by his parents, Banford Eklee and Tina Alice Young Smith; his wife, Georgia M. Smith; and his brothers; Ozle and Jr. Smith.He was a farmer and retired from the VA Hospital, a veteran of World War II in the Army Air Corp, a member of American Legion and a member of Woodbury Church of Christ.Funeral service will be held at the chapel of Woodbury Funeral Home at 2 p.m. Saturday with Herb Alsup officiating. Interment will follow at Pleasant View Cemetery.
