Mrs. Lorraine Angela Ruffing, 97, of McMinnville died Saturday, Sept. 1, at NHC HealthCare in McMinnville. She was born Sept. 18, 1920, in Munising, Mich., was a senior cashier at Stewart’s Pharmacy where she worked for 42 years, and was a member of St. Catherine’s Catholic Church. Mrs. Ruffing was preceded in death by her parents Lucien Joseph and Emma LaDuke VanDorne, first husband Joseph Arthur DeNoyer, second husband Harold C. Ruffing, daughter Connie Palmer, granddaughter Michelle Blake, and 10 siblings.Survivors include her son Dennis (Maureen) DeNoyer of McMinnville, daughter Marie Saunders of Plymouth, Mich., grandchildren Patricia (Jimmy) Applegate, Tammy (Kevin) Caldwell, Darrell DeNoyer, Marcell Spohn (William) Wright, Diana Marie (David) Mansour-Cole, great-grandchildren Kate Caldwell, Chloe Caldwell, Kristy Applegate, Kizzie DeNoyer, Mercadeez DeNoyer, Lawanna Holt, Cody Jame (Cameo Marie) Spohn, Calin Joseph Spohn, Clint Joshua Spohn, Caitlin Briana Spohn, Camille Brenna Spohn, Leyla Mellissa (Paul) Mansour-Cole, Jasmine Nadine (Jack) Fransen, Nadia Jane Mansour-Fries, Jamil Tahir (Diane) Mansour, Meyessa Marie (Ben) Ackland, and Hyder Jamil Mansour, great-great-grandchildren Dylan Holt, Alaina Karina Spohn, Sophie Marie Spohn, Derek James Spohn, Keagan Alexander Spohn, and Evan William Fries, and special family friend Roxie St. John.
