Linnie Mae Grissom, 84

Linnie Mae Grissom, 84, a Centertown community resident and Derby, Va., native was born May 19, 1933 and died Aug. 23 at her residence following a brief illness.
She was a retired employee of Ohio Rubber Company, a member of McMinnville Church of God, and daughter of the late James and Mildred Bishop Catron. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers and three sisters.
Mrs. Grissom was married July 31, 1954 to Houston Grissom, who survives. In addition to her husband, she is survived by two sons, Clayton Grissom of Hamilton, Ohio and Jeffery Grissom of Fort Myers, Fla.; three grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and three sisters.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 26, at High’s Chapel with Jeff Page and Josh Thaxton to officiate. Interment will follow at Smyrna Cemetery. Visitation will be 11 a.m. Saturday until the time of service at High’s. Online condolences may be made at www.highfuneralhome.com.
