Linda Sue George Thompson, 53, a McMinnville resident and St. Petersburg, Fla., native died Saturday at River Park Hospital following a one-year illness.She was a homemaker, member of the Baptist Church, and daughter of Madge Lawhorn George of Smithville and the late Henry Junior George.She was married July 19, 2012 to Dewayne Thompson who survives. She is also survived by daughter Deeter N. (Jameision) Adkins of Mansfield, Ohio; three grandchildren, Jade Adkins, Jameision Adkins Jr., and Jordana Adkins, all of Mansfield; aunt, Shirley Williams of Smithville, along with several aunts, uncles and cousins. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by sister, Wyanetta Carver.There will be no visitation or service.High Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.Southern Standard (McMinnville, Tenn.)
