Rock Island resident and Warren County native Linda Smartt, 66, was born Nov. 9, 1950 and died July 17 at St. Thomas River Park Hospital following a sudden illness.A nutritionist with the Warren County School System and a member of Oasis Denominational Church, she was the daughter of the late James William and Emma Jane Richardson Daniel. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by sister-in-law Shelby Jean Kirby. She was married on Sept. 4, 1970 to Dale Smartt of Rock Island.
