Smithville resident and Warren County native Linda Lee Scott George, 69, was born Oct. 10, 1945 and died June 24 at Centennial Medical Center in Nashville following an extended illness. A homemaker and a member of the Baptist Church, she was the daughter of the late Wesley and Gertrude Akins Scott. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by sister, Barbara Carr; and two brothers, Robert and Charles Scott.She was married May 4, 1963 to Luther Jay George Jr. of McMinnville.
