Leslie Eugene Gene Pegg, 88

McMinnville resident and Coffee County native Leslie Eugene “Gene” Pegg, 88, was born Nov. 21, 1929 and died July 22 at Raintree Manor following an extended illness.

A retired employee of General Motors and member of East End Church of Christ, he was the son of the late Arvel Lee and Florence Belle Stone Pegg. He was married Dec. 23, 1977 to Audrey Mae Parker Pegg, who preceded him in death May 15, 2018. In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by eight siblings, Hattie, Clara, Ed, Elmer, Alvin, Junior, Wesley and J.R.

Mr. Pegg is survived by son and daughter-in-law, Robert and Brenda Pegg of Garden City, MI; daughter and son-in-law, Kim and Howard Klix of Novi, MI; granddaughter and spouse, Katrina and Nick Duby of Dearborn, MI; two great-grandchildren, Gage Duby and Hannah Duby; stepdaughter and stepson-in-law, Gail and Brent Cassel of Troy, MI; stepson and stepdaughter-in-law, Wayne and Susie Leathers of Macomb, MI; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Graveside service and interment will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, July 25, at Mt. View Cemetery with Garland Robinson officiating. There will be no visitation, as family and friends will meet at cemetery for the graveside service. Online condolences may be made at www.highfuneralhome.com.
