McMinnville resident and Warren County native Leonard Luther Martin, 63, was born Nov. 26, 1950 and died March 2 at River Park Hospital following an extended illness.A nursery worker with Martin Brothers Nursery and member of the Baptist Church, he was the son of the late Mort and Willie Roberts Martin. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Ricky and Donnie Martin and sister, JoAnn Nelson.Mr. Martin is survived by four sisters, Sherry Duggin, Dorothy Lane, Patsy Jones and Peggy Martin, all of McMinnville; six brothers, James B. Martin of Morrison, Tony Martin of Smithville, Eddie Martin of Rock Island, Ernest Martin of the Centertown community, Billy Joe Martin of Manchester and Marcus Martin of McMinnville; several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.A graveside service and interment was held Tuesday at Crain Hill Cemetery in Van Buren County with Rick Basham officiating.
