Lawson Junior “Red” Robinson, 82 of McMinnville passed from this life Saturday, June 15, at Alvin C. York VA Medical Center in Murfreesboro.
“Red” was born Saturday, July 18, 1936 in Louisville, Miss., the son of the late Chester Robinson and the late Arcola Reed Robinson. He was a veteran of the Korean War and a member of Grace Ministries.
He is survived by his wife Patsy Estepp Robinson, daughter Charlene Whittaker and husband Brent, two sons Jeff Robinson and wife Monica, Randall Robinson and wife Kim, five grandchildren Jonathan Myers and wife Courtney, Brian Myers, Stephen Robinson and wife Heather, Matthew Robinson and wife McKenzie, Kyle Robinson and wife Gabby, great-granddaughter Kylee Robinson, brother David Robinson and wife Becky, special in-laws J.B. and Judy Broadwater and children Joey and Jesse, many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
In addition to his parents, Red was preceded in death by three brothers Clinton Robinson and wife Drusilla, Bennon Robinson and Cecil Robinson and wife Kathleen and sister Marie Tarter.
Funeral service was 1 p.m. Tuesday at Gardens of Memory Funeral Home with pastor Joseph Atkins officiating. Interment followed at Gardens of Memory Cemetery. Online condolences may be made at gardensofmemoryfuneralhome.com.
