McMinnville resident and Warren County native Laura Lorena Simons, 76, was born Nov. 27, 1934 and died Sept. 21 at NHC Healthcare McMinnville following an extended illness.A retired cafeteria employee of River Park Hospital and member of East End Church of Christ, she was the daughter of the late Jim and Hassie Hillis Simons. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, Everett Simons; and two sisters, Inez Hale and Audrey McCoy.She is survived by three sisters, Loray Eller, Virgie Ward and Faye Sharpe, all of McMinnville; brother, Joe Simons of McMinnville, and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday in High’s Chapel with Garland Robinson officiating. Burial will follow at Crain Hill Cemetery in Van Buren County.
