Rock Island resident and Warren County native Larry Cunningham, 67, was born Jan. 17, 1944 and died unexpectedly Sept. 9 at River Park Hospital.A retired insurance agent with American General and a member of Shepherd Of The Hills Lutheran Church, he was the son of Earlene Cunningham of Viola and the late Adrian Cunningham.He was married Jan. 2, 1987 to Judy L. Cunningham of Rock Island. In addition to his wife and mother, he is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Kim and Doug Hamel of Raleigh, N.C., and Cindy and Jason Smartt of Morrison; son, Brent Cunningham of Austin, Texas; brother and sister-in-law, Ira and Tobie Cunningham of St. Augustine, Fla.; sister and brother-in-law, Fronia and Tim Templeton of Viola; three grandchildren, Katie and Jenna Mayfield and Jaden Smartt; and aunt, Alta Faye Gribble and husband Joe of McMinnville.Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. today at High’s Chapel with David McMinn officiating.
