Kenneth Ray Odineal, 58, died Thursday, June 29, 2023, at Ascension Saint Thomas River Park Hospital. He was born Aug. 4, 1964, in McMinnville. He was preceded in death by his parents, George Ray and DeAnna Eis Odineal and his son, Skylar Odineal.
Survivors include his loving partner, Lucinda Smith; his children, Justin Odineal (Vanessa), Dakota Odineal (Heather), Austin Odineal and Caroline (John) Lewis; siblings, Kathy (Tommy) Markum, Terry (Pam) Odineal, Patty (Nick) Shone and Evert Odineal (Wendy); grandchildren, William Odineal, Bethany Odineal, Caitlyn Odineal, Brentley Odineal, Lora Claire Lewis and Lucy Kate Lewis, as well as many nieces and nephews.
Kenneth was a true craftsman. From the men in his family, he inherited talents for carpentry and mechanics, and was always willing to share his knowledge with others. He preferred the outdoors, whether it was camping, fishing, bush hogging or driving on back roads with his window down. He was the one his family and friends relied on when in need, but he would just as quickly stop to help a stranger stranded by the side of the road. He was a good man, a great friend, and he will be dearly missed.
A memorial service will be held graveside at Unity Church of Christ Cemetery on Saturday, July 22 at 2 p.m.
