Kathy F. “Kat” Hayward, 54, of McMinnville died unexpectedly Wednesday, July 20 at her residence in McMinnville.She was born in McMinnville Aug. 22, 1956, the daughter of the late J.L. Hillis and Mary H. (Fuqua) Hillis. She was the wife for seven years of Alan J. Hayward of McMinnville. She worked for A.O. Smith for 19 years.She was preceded in death by her parents, J.L. Hillis and Mary Helen (Fuqua) Garrett, and one brother, Jay Hillis.She is survived by two sons Michael D. and wife Melissa McGee of Beersheba Springs, Matthew D. and Heather Wenger of Smithville; sister Janet and husband Rick Maynard of McMinnville; two brothers, Kelly and wife Kim Hillis of McMinnville, Chris Hillis of Sparta; mother-in-law, Sandra Amos of McMinnville; life-long best friend, Shelia Brenneman of McMinnville; and four grandchildren, Cody McGee, Shade McGee, Ryan Wenger, and Chloe Wenger.Funeral service will be held at Gardens of Memory Funeral Home Chapel at 5 p.m. on Monday with Bro.
