McMinnville resident and Warren County native Karl William Ramsey, 64, was born Feb. 26, 1950 and died April 5 at Alvin C. York VA Medical Center in Murfreesboro following an extended illness.A retired employee of Carrier Corporation and a U.S. Army veteran, he was the son of the late Clyde William and Sarah Jean Savage Ramsey. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Douglas Wayne Ramsey.Mr. Ramsey is survived by two sisters, Vicki (Mitchell) Biles of Jackson, and Rita Ramsey of McMinnville; two nieces, Cherlisa (Gabriel) Reynolds of Fayetteville, N.C., and Chernae (Tavarius) Anderson of Jackson; two nephews, Chris Biles of Nashville and Torrell Ramsey of LaVergne; three great-nieces, Jaden, Brianna and Gabrielle, all of Fayetteville, N.C.; great-nephew, Adrian Anderson of Jackson and two step-children, Corey Brown of Nashville and Heather Brown of Murfreesboro.A graveside memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday at Gardens of Memory with Robert Bonner officiating. Full military honors will be administered by the VFW Post 5064 and American Legion Post 173.
