Rock Island resident and Warren County native Justin Manuel Cody King, 21, was born June 30, 1992 and died unexpectedly Sept. 26 at Emerald Hodgson Hospital in Sewanee.An employee of Yorozu, he was the son of Fernando Perez and Tina King of Altamont. In addition to his parents, he is survived by sisters, Kellie, Miranda and Alexis; brother, Phillip; maternal grandmother, Edna King of McMinnville; paternal grandparents, Inez and Antonio Perez of Mexico; girlfriend, Nikia Mabe of Rock Island; girlfriend’s parents, Sonya and Darrell Mabe of Rock Island; aunt, Wanda Perez of McMinnville; nephew, Braxton King; and many other family members and friends.He was preceded in death by brother, Jaden Perez; maternal grandfather, Dewey King; and aunt, Rhonda King.Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at High’s Chapel with Wayne Hopkins officiating. Burial will follow at Center Hill Cemetery at Hills Creek.
