McMinnville resident and Warren County native Julia Grace Winfree Pitts, 87, was born May 9, 1929 and died Sept. 6 at St. Thomas River Park Hospital following a sudden illness. A homemaker and member of Central Church of Christ, she was the daughter of the late Lloyd Buford and Quixie Marie Newby Turner. She was married to first husband, C.S. Winfree who preceded her in death in 1997 and second husband, Flavil Ray Pitts who preceded her in death in 2016.
