McMinnville resident and Tulia, Texas native Judith Louise Carter, 58, was born June 15, 1964 and died July 6 at her residence following an extended illness.

A homemaker and member of Pearls of Christ Church, she was the daughter of Jim R. Nunley Sr. of McMinnville, and the late Jerry Louise Spencer. She was married to Harold Carter of the Harrison Ferry community on Aug. 19, 1994. In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by daughter Brittney Michelle Atherton.

In addition to her husband and father, Mrs. Carter is survived by sons Buddy James Hampton, Chris (Shannan) Carter and Joshua Carter, all of McMinnville, Devin Carter of New Mexico and Braxton Carter of McMinnville, sister Cheryl Nunley of McMinnville, brother Jim R. (Julie) Nunley Jr. of Michigan, grandchildren Lydia Atherton, Alisa Carter, Thomas Carter, Wesley Carter, Elijah Carter, Laydron Carter, Gabriel Carter and Emma Carter, and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews also survive.

Graveside service and interment was held at 3 p.m. Thursday, July 7, at Hebron Cemetery in Warren County with Anthony Wanamaker and Travis Wanamaker officiating.
