Juanita June Hennessee Boyd, 88, of Rock Island died Saturday, July 11 at her residence. She was born Feb. 21, 1927 in Walling and was the former owner of the local Merle Norman Cosmetics Studio, a homemaker, past Worthy Matron of the Order of the Eastern Star, and a member of Rock Island Presbyterian Church where she also served as President of the local Presbyterian Women’s Group. Mrs. Boyd was preceded in death by parents Cecil Elijah and Mary Lou Howell Grissom; first husband, John Raymond Hennessee; and a sister, Helen Frances Grissom Dunlap.
