We are sad to announce that on Feb. 11, 2022 we said goodbye to Joyce Jean White of McMinnville. Joyce was born in McHenry, Ky., on June 19, 1936. She was a faithful servant of Jesus Christ having attended the Central Church of Christ and recently the Highway 56N Church of Christ.

She was predeceased by her parents, Volentine and Iva Lacefield and her siblings, Chelsie Lacefield, Olous Lacefield, Kathlene Sutherlin, Fostine Duncan, Geraldine Render, Onell Lacefield, Maxine Duncan, Peggy Midkiff, son-in-law, Matthew Bugg, and great granddaughter, Finley White.

She is survived by her husband of 68 years, Jewel White of McMinnville, their children Michael (Cynthia) White, Jenny (Greg) Nance, William White, and Rebecca (Brett) Merritt, eight grandchildren, Leah (Trysten) Sherwood, Laura White, Daniel (Kelli) White, Jennifer (Brian) Mayes, Timothy (Stephanie) Nance, Rachel (Hector) Cortez, Bran (Bryanna) Merritt, and Josie Merritt, 25 great-grandchildren, Reese Sherwood, Owen Sherwood, Daycey Sherwood, Eli White, Jude White, Olive White, Lilah White, Lacefield Mayes, Ellie Mayes, Robert Mayes, Holly Mayes, Liberty Mayes, Jubilee Mayes, Amos Mayes, Henry Nance, Martin Nance, Cordelia Nance, Arthur Nance, Eisabelle Nance, Brisa Cortez, Noah Cortez, Zechariah Cortez, Daniel Cortez, Joshua Jewel Cortez, and Caleb Cortez, her sister Dorene Austin, her brother Lute Lacefield, and many nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, March 12, at Highway 56N Church of Christ. The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday at the church. Online condolences may be made at www.mcminnvillefuneralhome.com.
