Vervilla community resident and Pound, Va., native Joyce Ann Williams, 80, was born Aug. 30, 1932 and died unexpectedly May 15 at her residence.A homemaker and a member of Freedom Life Worship Center Church of God, she was the daughter of the late Edmund and Opal Mullins. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Ernest, Bruce and Letcher Mullins.She was married July 10, 1971 to Eskel Homer Williams of the Vervilla community. In addition to her husband, she is survived by son and daughter-in-law, Wade Edmund and Lori Sanders of Pikeville; two daughters and sons-in-law, Stephanie Ann and Jeffery Davis of McMinnville, and Lorie and Charles Dotson of the Vervilla community; 11 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild; brother, Kermit Mullins of Atlanta, Ga.; and sister, Frances “Emma Lou” Steinmann of McMinnville.Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at High’s Chapel with Kevin York, Robert Christian and Charles Dotson officiating.
