DeleteJonah W. Thomason, 60, was born in DeKalb County and died Nov. 14 following an extended illness.His parents were the late William Thomason and Vivian George Thomason. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings, Faye Simmons, Patsy Thomason, Wanda Jenkins, Billy and James Thomason.He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Jean Parsley Thomason of Woodbury; son and daughter-in-law, David and Sybil Gunter of McMinnville; two grandchildren, Amy Campbell and Shane Gunter, both of Warren County; great-grandchildren, Tristen Gunter and Leila Gunter; and sisters, Betty Certain, Janice Pollard, Virginia Jones and Louise Jones, all of DeKalb County.He was a member of Sunny Hills Baptist Church and a machine operator at Tenneco.Services will be held at 10 a.m. today at Woodbury Funeral Home with John Jones officiating. Burial will follow at Blues Hill Cemetery.
