Johnny “J.E.” Johnson Sr., 86, of Smithville died Monday at St. Thomas Rutherford Hospital. He was a member of Pomeroy Chapel.He was preceded in death by his wife, Childus Wright Johnson; parents, Joe and Myrtle Pedigo Johnson; and two brothers, Glen Johnson and Cecil Johnson. Survivors include three children, Edith McReynolds of Woodbury, Johnny Johnson Jr. and Cindy of Spring Hill, Nathan Johnson and Tara of Murfreesboro, nine grandchildren, Heather McReynolds of Birmingham, Ala.; Kayla McReynolds of Woodbury; Marshall McReynolds of Woodbury; Garrett McReynolds of Woodbury; Kristen McReynolds of Woodbury, Erin McReynolds of Woodbury, Asia Bailey of Murfreesboro, Kevin Bailey of Murfreesboro, and Mia Ledbetter of Murfreesboro, two sisters, Winnie and Bill Petty of Smithville and Rose Bratcher of McMinnville.
