Johnnie Lewis Whitman, 74, died Sunday, May 29, at a Sewanee Hospital. He was born in Beersheba Springs on Aug. 18, 1941 to Lecil and Sara Jane Anderson Whitman, who preceded him in death along with his brother, Roscoe Whitman; grandson, Bryan Matthew Whitman. He was a member of Cumberland Baptist Church.
