Morrison resident and Dunkirk, NY native John Marshall Jefferson, Sr., 55, was born October 7, 1957 and died suddenly July 30 at River Park Hospital.
An employee of Bridgestone Corporation and a member of Josiah Generation Church, he was the son of the late Frank Marshall and Betty Brooks Jefferson.
He was married to Amelia Deering Jefferson of Morrison. In addition to his wife, he is survived by seven children and their spouses, John and Rachel Jefferson, Jr. of Nashville, Frank and Desi Jefferson of McMinnville, Matthew and Dottie Jefferson of Manchester, Laurie and Kyle Condra of Manchester, Daniel Jefferson of Morrison, William and Erin Jefferson of Lascassas  and Marshall Jefferson of Morrison; eight grandchildren, Andrea, Drake, Carter, Lily, Trey, Tyler and Lucas Jefferson and Judah Condra; and brother, James Jefferson of Dunkirk, N.Y.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Aug. 2 in High's Chapel with Rovin Rhodes officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Zion Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 9 a.m. until the time of service Friday at High's.
