John Henry Welcome, Jr., 46, of Elizabeth City, N. C. died Tuesday, Dec. 24 at Sentara Heart Hospital in Norfolk, Va., after a brief illness. He was born in Franklin, N.H., on May 31, 1967 to John Henry Welcome, Sr. and the late Dorothy Anne Young Welcome. Mr. Welcome served 22 years in the United States Coast Guard and retired as a Senior Chief Petty Officer.
