John Hart Krickel, 86, of Portal and Philipsburg, Mont., died Thursday, Oct. 22, at Ogeechee Area Hospice Inpatient Facility.He was born in Nashville on March 23, 1929, the son of Edward and Daisy Krickel. He graduated from Duncan Preparatory School in Nashville and in 1950 received his bachelor of arts degree from the University of Tennessee, where he was a member of Sigma Chi Fraternity. He earned a master of arts degree from Middle Tennessee State University in 1953 and later his doctor of education from Auburn University in 1972.
