John Harris Smith, 68, a McMinnville resident and Warren County native, died suddenly Dec. 25 at his brother’s residence in Franklin. He was an employee of Sherwin-Williams Company, a U.S. Navy veteran of Vietnam, a member of the Methodist Church, and son of the late James Andrew and Katherine Ruth Brooks Smith. He is survived by brother, Jim Brooks (Jan) Smith of Franklin; two nieces, Megan Smith of Oakland, Calif., and Lea Mary Bannister of Memphis.
