John Edwin Hobbs, 65

John Edwin Hobbs, 65, a McMinnville resident and Lincoln County native, died June 3 at Vanderbilt  University Medical Center following an extended illness.
He was an employee of Ashland Oil Company, a member of the Church of Christ, and son of the late Charles Edwin Hobbs and Helen Alverine Severt.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by an infant brother.
Mr. Hobbs is survived by children and spouses, Shannan and Kevin Clark, Shelley Underwood and Joshua and Robyn Hobbs, all of McMinnville; six grandchildren, Kasey Underwood, Cheyenne Clark, Zech Clark, Sydney Hobbs, Shelby Clark and Izzy Hobbs; great-granddaughter, Harlow Ferro; sister Dana Allen of Las Vegas; nephew, Dustin Allen and niece, Hanna Hillman.
Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Saturday at High’s Chapel with Kevin Clark to officiate. Interment will be 4 p.m. Saturday at Lynchburg Cemetery in Moore County. Visitation will be Friday from 4 to 8 p.m., and Saturday from 10 a.m. until time of service at High’s.
High Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
