John Edwin Hobbs, 65, a McMinnville resident and Lincoln County native, died June 3 at Vanderbilt University Medical Center following an extended illness. He was an employee of Ashland Oil Company, a member of the Church of Christ, and son of the late Charles Edwin Hobbs and Helen Alverine Severt. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by an infant brother.
