John Charles Cantrell, 77, of Smithville, died Wednesday, Aug. 9 at Tri-Star Centennial Medical Center. He was born Feb. 9, 1940 in Warren County, was retired from self-employment as a drywall finisher, and was a member of the Oak Grove Church of Christ. Mr. Cantrell was preceded in death by parents, Charlie and Lulu Hill Cantrell, daughter, Jonna Cantrell, granddaughter, Amanda Kirby, and sisters, Oralee Cantrell, Linda Glenn, Pearline Newby, and Wilma Holmes.
