Morrison resident and native Joelene Solomon, 69, was born July 19, 1945 and died Jan. 5 at St. Thomas West Hospital in Nashville following an extended illness.A retired employee of Powermatic and member of Hiawassee Church of Christ, she was the daughter of the late Sherman and Sadie Starkey Solomon. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by sister, Mary Katherine Solomon; and three brothers, Elzie B., Roy and Troy Solomon. She is survived by three brothers and sisters-in-law, Jake Solomon of Morrison, Sherman Edward and Dorothy Solomon of Morrison, and Harold and Magnolia Solomon of McMinnville; two sisters-in-law, Rosie Solomon of Murfreesboro and Shirley Solomon of Manchester; seven nieces, Fay Bowers of Murfreesboro, Trina Gill of Shelbyville, and Annette McReynolds, Sylvia Solomon, Vivian Solomon, Lisa Solomon and Teresa Martin, all of McMinnville; six nephews, Kenny Solomon and Joe Solomon, both of McMinnville, Eric Solomon and Rickey Solomon, both of Nashville, Randy Solomon of Macon, Ga., and Harold Alexander Solomon of Memphis; and a host of great-nieces and great-nephews.
