Joe Houston Green, 89, of Smithville (Green Hill community) died Tuesday, June 25 at Alvin C. York VA Hospital in Murfreesboro. He was born Jan. 20, 1924, in Warren County and was a retired heavy equipment operator with both the county and state. He served his country during World War II with the U.S. Army and is a former POW, and was a member of Green Hill Church of Christ.
