Joe A. “Hunkey” Padgett Jr., 62, of Sevierville died Monday, Sept.. 3 at Leconte Medical Center.A Baptist, he was preceded in death by his parents, Joe A. and Mary (Underwood) Padgett Sr.; brothers, Bobby, Floyd and James Richard Padgett. Survivors include his wife, Margaret Diane (Wolfenbarger) Padgett of Sevierville; two sons and daughter-in-laws, Joe Arthur Padgett III and April of McMinnville, James and Maria Padgett of Sevierville; one daughter, Corinna Ann Padgett of McMinnville; three sisters and one brother-in-law, Rosita Asbury of Rutledge, Joann and Don Robertson of Sevierville, Wanda Rutledge of Rutledge; seven grandchildren, Dustin Padgett, Ginger Padgett, Tiffany Padgett, Talina Padgett, Phillip Padgett, Jasmine Padgett, Jadon Padgett; and five great-grandchildren.
