Doyle resident and Warren County native Joan Elizabeth Hollis, 74, was born Sept. 18, 1947 and died Aug. 18 at her residence following a sudden illness.
A retired produce associate from Kroger and former Newtown Foodland employee, she was the daughter of the late Fred M. and Zada Bell Bouldin Sain. She was married on Sept. 25, 1965 to Arthur Jerry Hollis, who preceded her in death.
Ms. Hollis is survived by children, Paula Hollis Morris of McMinnville, Tony (Amanda) Hollis of Manchester, Andy (Katera) Hollis of Dunlap, and Amy (Michael Joe Jr. “Sport”) Hollis Wanamaker of McMinnville, brother Danny (Nadine) Sain of McMinnville, sister Judy Chambers Sain of Murfreesboro, grandchildren Casey Morris (Chris) O’Neal, Corey Morris, Matthew (Miranda) Hollis, Drew Hollis, Tyler Hollis, Kristy Navarrete (Alex) Ayala, Kevin Navarrete, Johnny Chadwick Wanamaker and Carrie (Tyrus) Wanamaker Keel and great-grandchildren, Emersyn O’Neal, Jadon Day, Bentley Hollis, Adriana Ayala, Isabella Ayala and Hickory Keel.
Per Ms. Hollis’ wishes, she will be cremated. A memorial service will be held at a later date. No service or visitation will be held at High’s. Online condolences may be made at www.highfuneralhome.com.
