Jerry Bennett Watson, 70

McMinnville resident and Charleston S.C., native Jerry Bennett Watson, 70, died May 9 at NHC Healthcare after a sudden illness.
 A mail clerk with the Tennessee Department of Revenue and a member of First United Methodist Church, he was the son of the late Thomas J. and Lillie Ruth Floyd Watson.
 He is survived by his brother, Thomas C. Watson of Brentwood; niece, Susan W. (Wesley) Peck of Mt. Juliet, and nephew, Mark L. Watson of Medina.
 Services will be held at 1 p.m. Monday at High’s Chapel with Rev. Bob Case and Rev. James Johnson officiating. Burial will follow at Bascom Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday, and 11 a.m. until time of service Monday at High’s.
 High Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
