Jenny Irene Gaither Lorance, 89, of McMinnville (Centertown community) died Sunday, April 10, at her residence. She was born Aug. 2, 1921, in Cannon County and was retired from Genesco Shoe after 35 years of service, an active participant of the Centertown community, and was a member of Centertown Church of Christ. Mrs. Lorance was preceded in death by parents Arthur Clay and Etta Murphy Gaither; husband of 67 years, Arthur Lyman Lorance; her only daughter, Judy Lorance Rhea; brother, A.L. “Leonard” Gaither; and twin sister Della Christine Gaither Ash.Survivors include sons, William C. “Billy” Lorance and Michael L. (Joanna) Lorance, all of McMinnville, and Roy Edward (Wanda) Lorance of Manchester; son-in-law, Robert Rhea of McMinnville; grandchildren, Bradley (Kathy) Lorance of Harrisburg, Pa., Kris (Marcia) Lorance of Cookeville, Jamie (Jennifer) Lorance of McMinnville, Shandra (John) Lorance Richardson of Manchester, Ryan (Jaime) Lorance, Micah Lorance, and Morgan Lorance, all of McMinnville; great-grandchildren Lexi, Alyssa, Sawyer, Maggie Rose, Elie, Garrett, Gracie, Kinsley, and Rylan; sister Reba Hibdon of Lebanon; brothers, Walden (Delina) Gaither of Lebanon, James (Donna) Gaither of Dayton, and Tommy (Ordway) Gaither of Greensboro, Ga.; and sister-in-law, Adele Gaither of McMinnville.
