Jeffrey Lynn Lancaster, 50, of Rock Island died Thursday, Nov. 8 at River Park Hospital in McMinnville after an extended illness.
He was born in West Memphis, Ark., on Jan. 31, 1962, a son of the late Bonnie F. (Chipman) and Luther J. Lancaster. He was the husband of Debra N. (Pennington) Lancaster of Rock Island and was a member of Barren Fork Baptist Church of McMinnville. He worked as a construction worker and owned his business Lancaster Construction in West Memphis, Ark.
He is also survived by a daughter, Ashley M. Glenn, of Hoxie, Ark.; two stepsons Richard N. Bain of McMinnville and Brandon D. Pennington, of McMinnville; sister, Tonya J. Lancaster, and special friend Marion Jones of Oakland, Memphis; two brothers, Roger D. and wife Billie Lancaster, of Marion, Ark.; Herschel and wife Bobbie Lancaster of Cruthersville, Mich., father and mother in-law, David and wife Nell Pennington of McMinnville; sister and brother in-laws, Tammie and husband Kelly Ross of McMinnville, Tina and husband Allen Johnston of Woodbury, Sharon and the late Skip Keel of McMinnville; four nieces and eight nephews. He is also survived by one granddaughter, Autumn Skii Bain of McMinnville.
He was preceded in death by parents, Jake and Bonnie (Chipman) Lancaster, two infant brothers, Phillip and Christopher Lancaster, and step-daughter, Brittney Goethe.
A memorial service will be held at Gardens of Memory Funeral Home Chapel on Tuesday at 6 p.m. with Jonathan Buck officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to help pay the cost of the funeral. To sign the online guest book, visit
