Mr. Jeffery Lynn Cole, 58, of Spencer passed from this life at home from an extended illness.  Jeff was born Aug. 13, 1960 to the late Glen “Red” and Clara Bethene Bayless Cole. He was a native of Van Buren County and a lifelong resident. He was known to his co-workers and friends as “Cobb.” He was a critical care paramedic with White County EMS, a Mason and he volunteered with Spencer Fire Department and was of the Baptist faith. 

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by brother-in-law Kevin Bouldin.

He is survived by his loving wife Cheryl Bouldin Cole of Spencer, son Cody Dylan Cole of Spencer, daughter Carly Leighann Cole of Spencer, brother Allen Dale Cole of Spencer, sister Sonja Glenece Cole of Spencer, in-laws Noble and Wanda Bouldin of Spencer, sister-in-law Jill Bouldin and her children Lakelyn and Layla of Spencer, and a large extended family, special family friends Eddie Howard, the late Roger Miller and wife April, special mention to his EMS family, and all emergency personnel.

Funeral service will be held Thursday May 9, at 2 p.m. at the Layne Chapel with Bro. R.C. Christian and Chad Martin officiating. Burial will follow at Cummingsville Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday from 1 to 9 p.m. and Thursday from 10 a.m. till time of service.

Pallbearers will be Basil Timoschuk, Chris Russell, Lonnie Laxton, Jimmy Savage, James Allen and Colton Simmons. Honorary pallbearers, Jeff’s EMS family, law enforcement and Van Buren County Fire Departments. Send your condolences to
