McMinnville resident and Warren County native Janice Kay McGiboney Howard, 69, died May 15 at her home.A retired society editor with the Southern Standard and a member of McMinnville First Baptist Church, she was the daughter of the late Omar and Kathleen Haston McGiboney; and was preceded in death by her husband, James Wayne (Jim) Howard and son, Brent Lindsey Howard.She is survived by daughter and son-in-law, Peri and Woodrow Fowler of Savannah, Ga.; son, Derek W. Howard of Charleston, S.C.; grandchildren, Kurtis Kesey of Murfreesboro and Kodi Kesey of McMinnville; great-grandchildren, Braylen and Lilleigh; sisters and brothers-in-law, Barbara and Charles Reynolds and Gail Askew, all of McMinnville; aunt, Jean Gilley of McMinnville; brothers-in-law and sister-in-law, Joe Lane Howard, Ronnie and Betty Howard, all of McMinnville; several nieces, nephews, and cousins.Services will be held at 3:30 p.m. Saturday at First Baptist Church with Harry Green and Bo Hendrix officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. View Cemetery.
