McMinnville resident and Chattanooga native Janette Sue Cantrell, 65, was born Dec. 1, 1947 and died unexpectedly Aug. 7 at River Park Hospital.An employee of H&R Block and a member of the Methodist Church, she was the daughter of the late Ingle S. and Lillian L. Cowan Newton. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Jerry Newton.She was married June 16, 1968 to Robert R. Cantrell of McMinnville. In addition to her husband, she is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Angela and Stacy Turner of McMinnville, and April and James Tate of McMinnville; one son and daughter-in-law, Clay and Lori Cantrell of McMinnville; seven grandchildren and spouses, Ethan Milstead, Randy Cantrell, Abby Cantrell, Jessie Tate, Jacob Tate, Kylie and Shane Medley, and Gary and Kayla Milstead; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday in High’s Chapel with Michael Harris officiating.
